Brainstorming lifestyle blog name ideas can be tricky if you don’t know where to start. But it’s such an important step and can’t be put off if you want to start building your blog.
Luckily, I have a few tips and tricks for finding inspiration, plus a lifestyle blog name ideas list to jumpstart your imagination.
5 Tips for Finding the Perfect Lifestyle Blog Name
Finding the perfect name for your lifestyle blog doesn’t have to be a nightmare. It can actually be pretty simple!
Here are my top tips for coming up with a lifestyle blog name that you’ll love.
Choose Keywords Related to Your Niche
For any lifestyle blog to be successful, it has to have a really solid niche or focus. And when you have this hyper-narrowed focus, you can come up with a name that directly relates to it!
Using keywords related to your niche is one of the best ways you can come up with a name for your lifestyle blog. These keywords will give your readers a hint as to what your blog is about and let them know that it’s relevant to what they’re searching for.
For example, the popular lifestyle blog Gal Meets Glam includes the keyword “glam” to let readers know that her blog is about beauty and style.
Including relevant keywords in your lifestyle blog name is also super useful for SEO as it lets search engines know what your blog is about, too!

Use a Thesaurus to Mix and Match Words
After you’ve come up with some keywords for your niche or words that relate to your blog topic, head over to thesaurus.com and start to plug them into the search bar. What this does is gives you synonyms for the words you chose to spruce up the selection and give you less generic options.
Using a thesaurus will also help you come up with a large word bank for brainstorming lifestyle blog name ideas.
Once you have this word bank, begin mixing and matching to see what sounds good together.
Take the fitness lifestyle blog Pumps and Iron, for example.
This blogger used terms related to working out (without explicitly saying “work out” or “fitness”) to create a name more engaging and memorable.
Inject Your Personality
While keywords are important, complete your lifestyle blog name by injecting your personality. You can use descriptive words, terms that resonate with you, or even your name to round out a title for your lifestyle blog.
When searching for personality words, think of some adjectives that describe you or your content.
Is it whimsical? Fun? Eccentric? Mischievous? Alluring?
Then take these words and pop them into a thesaurus and come up with even more variations to find a match that fits best.
Using your name in a lifestyle blog name is also a solid route to take, especially if you’re writing from a first-person point of view. Doing this directly injects your personality. Just make sure you can find good words to fit with it!
American actress Jamie Chung does this really well in her blog named “What the Chung”. This blog name is witty, entertaining and clearly about Jamie Chung, making it one of the best when it comes to showing personality.
Make It Short and Memorable
The last thing you want is a blog name that drags on forever. A really wordy blog name can be a mouthful… plus, how will anyone remember it?
Instead, try to keep your lifestyle blog name short but sweet. Doing this improves the chances of it sticking out in someone’s mind!
A short name is inherently more memorable than a long one, but there are other ways to get people to remember your blog name, too.
Using humor, puns or plays on words can make your blog name stand out. So can alliteration! There’s a reason why everyone can remember names like Bed Bath & Beyond and Krispy Kreme.
Barefoot Blonde is a perfect example. For her lifestyle blog name, she used alliteration, kept the name short and catchy, and was able to build an entire brand out of it.
Check If Your Lifestyle Blog Name is Available
Finally, before getting your heart set on a lifestyle blog name, you’ll want to be sure that the domain is actually available.
You can check the availability of your chosen name here:
If it is available, you can go ahead and register for it!
Note: When registering for a domain, be sure to choose a .com address. This gives you the most credibility online.
A huge perk of registering with Bluehost is that users get a domain name included for FREE with the purchase of hosting (which is the first step to getting your blog up and running). Bluehost is also the most trusted and affordable hosting provider online. We use them ourselves and are so happy with their service.
With our Blogging Fast Lane discount, you can save $180 on hosting from Bluehost. That’s over 60% off… and you get a domain name included!
Need Inspiration? Use a Lifestyle Blog Name Generator!
If you’re feeling stuck when trying to come up with a lifestyle blog name, you can always use a lifestyle blog name generator to get the gears turning.
A lifestyle blog name generator allows you to type in a couple of keywords and will populate tons of blog name ideas for you to use!
Even if you don’t end up using one of the ideas from the blog name generator, this is a good tactic to seek inspiration and see all that you can do with a lifestyle blog name.
We’ve actually developed our own blog name generator to make the process that much easier.

Get Started on Your Lifestyle Blog Today!
At the end of the day, no matter what you settle on, remember that a name is just a name. What matters most is the content that you publish!
Tons of brand names don’t mean a thing without the product behind it. Take Nokia for example. What was Nokia before a phone? Or Google before a search engine?
Even celebrities name their blogs nonsense words, like Gwenyth Paltrow’s Goop or Kourtney Kardashian’s blog Poosh. The name doesn’t matter all that much. It’s the content that ultimately turned them into brands.
Most people get so hung up over their lifestyle blog name and spend too much time trying to decide. Instead of this indecision, focus your attention on creating meaningful content that your readers are going to love!
That’s how to build a successful blog.
Hopefully, after reading this you feel more prepared to come up with a name for your lifestyle blog.
